Adele and Edoardo Fendi founded their namesake line in 1925 with the opening of their first boutique, located next to the workshop where Adele crafted leather goods inspired by the skill of Roman master saddlemakers. By the 1960s, the brand’s established legacy would make the addition of womenswear synonymous with its esteemed craftsmanship and sophisticated postwar style. In 2020 Fendi appointed Kim Jones as artistic director of couture and womenswear and Delfina Delettrez Fendi—fourth-generation Fendi—as artistic director of jewelry. Today the brand maintains its family traditions with an irreverent, creative approach that showcases innovatively treated fabrics, playful leather accessories, and footwear in vibrant colorways.
