Adele and Edoardo Fendi founded their namesake line in 1925 with the opening of their first boutique, located next to the workshop where Adele crafted leather goods inspired by the skill of Roman master saddlemakers. In 2020 Fendi appointed Kim Jones as artistic director of couture and womenswear and Delfina Delettrez Fendi—fourth-generation Fendi—as artistic director of jewelry.
