New York-based jewelry label AGMES explores the connection between the natural world and the built environment. Encouraged by their late friend Andrew to launch a sustainable jewelry line, sisters Jaclyn and Morgan Solomon founded AGMES—an amalgamation of Andrew's and Morgan's initials—in 2016. Utilizing the highest-quality recycled materials whenever possible, the Solomon sisters work alongside a team of local artisans to handcraft each piece of jewelry in their New York City studio. Eschewing seasonal trends in favor of timeless designs, the label emphasizes sculptural forms and clean lines with the intention that each piece be passed down through the generations. Drawing inspiration from modern art and architecture, pendant necklaces, open cuff bracelets, stud earrings, and band rings are rendered in sterling silver and gold vermeil. Freshwater pearls add a sublime accent, rounding out the offering. Informed by an appreciation for precious materials, local craftsmanship, and the urban environment, AGMES ushers in a heartfelt vision of contemporary luxury jewelry.
